Distilling is an art !

that’s for sure, why it’s an art ? because distillation is not just dumping a mass of something into the still and wait, it is further than that.

Many times I witnessed when two person distill they will have their own marks or finger print. Even with same raw material and same device the result will be different.

Why this happened due what I call as insight beyond just technique and device. It is we put something from our heart to the end product.

It is an art because it goes more into details and it goes into science when it comes to the device.

When you treated the wood differently it will give you a different result, such as soaking and non soaking. It will give you a very very different result.

Once again, it is a choice to be an artist or an industrialist in oud distillation.
